Project "Youth for Europe, Europe for youth" (May 1 - August 8, 2009)

(Youth in Action, Action 1.1)
The main objectives:

• to raise young people's awareness of the issues at stake in the current EU policies;
• to show the youth how their active citizenship can influence the policies of the EU institutions;
• to help young people form their own opinion on the important issues in the EU and provide them with an open forum for self-expression through verbal and non-verbal forms of communication (debates, public speaking, performing, dancing, etc.)
• to help young people to understand how important intercultural dialogue is.

Participants: 50 young people and youth workers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland

Activities:

• Advance planning visit (Vilnius, May 8-9)
• International Youth Forum in Druskininkai (July 26-31)
• Dissemination of project results

Total budget: 12924 EUR
